This resort boasts of the areas finest clubhouse, with private country club appeal. The course is known for its plush fairways and spectacular views. Although it’s not a long course, it keeps players from shooting low numbers due to the many side-hill lies. Shot positioning from the tee is important if one is to score well here. The Villa Roma has been host to numerous amateur events.

Nevele Grande Country Club
www.nevele.com
Set amidst some of the most panoramic 800 acres of the Catskill Mountains, the Nevele Grande Resort and Country Club appears to be an open course. However, this deceivingly tight course has numerous doglegs and well-placed fairway bunkers. What makes this course sneaky tough (it’s not that long at 6,532 yards) is a stern collection of par 3’s. All four can play more than 200 yards, requiring precise long irons to greens that aren’t exactly roomy. Tom Fazio redesigned several holes in the early 1990s, bringing water and strategic bunkering into play on the 9th, 16th and 18th holes. This 18 hole championship course is a must play while visiting the Catskill’s

Fallsview Honor's Haven Resort & Country Club
www.fallsviewgc.com/
Fallsview Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. is quite possibly the best overall nine holes in the Catskills. It demands everything - ball striking, accuracy, thinking and touch. There are grueling, tight par fours and a par-five that cannot be reached in two and gets narrower as you approach the green. There’s just enough rough to be fair, but obstructive and fast greens, which slope back to front, making ball control imperative.
